Yes, I notice in church each week that the majority of the people there are seeing visions of the manger scene in the church carpet. I wonder why I never noticed their delusional behavior before? Hmmmm.....maybe there really is a manger scene in that carpet.

I can understand the desire to sweep this kind of embarrassing behavior under the carpet, but it's there, and it really does reflect the kind of unreason inherent in religious thinking.
For one, I never implied that a "majority" of religious people see jesus in their spaghettios, I said a "significant number", which you can't really deny. These kinds of stories are a dime a dozen, and very often attract crowds of fellow believers in the local community to marvel at a scrap of wall, or a piece of burnt toast.
False or unreasonable/unjustified beliefs will produce unreasonable behavior, this kind of stuff is proof positive to me that religion is a crock, an anti thinking delusion.
