Quote: YIKES!!! What a skewed view of Christianity, Heaven and Hell you have. Not sure where you get your information or not but that's not how Christians view heaven and hell.
I shall assume you're not talking for all christians, or are you? If my 'views' of heavens and hells are skewed, just making the statement is utterly worthless - try explaining your, (sorry - all), christian views.
Quote: I'm curious, how do you intend on protecting your children if you all end up in hell?
Being there with them is actually, in my view, a step in the right direction.
Quote: Wouldn't you be in just as much torment as they are?
Sure - although, given that I wouldn't want such torment, I can only wonder why there isn't some being powerful enough to prevent it.
Quote: Also, what makes you think that those in heaven will have knowledge of people in hell or even hell itself?
I don't. My article, (http://www.snakeystew.com), raises the point. Why this sudden lack of knowledge? You turned into an idiot or someone messed around with your memories?
Quote: I don't think you are considering the entire picture.
Sure, perhaps not - to me 'love' comes at the top of the tree. Clearly it means something more to me than to most. Interestingly I'm ok with that.
Quote: If I were you I would learn more about christianity before making such strange conclusions.
I find it amusing how quickly you 'christians', (I assume the "true" variety), are to make bold statements but how almost impossible it is to ever get an explanation for them. Needless to say, I didn't invent the concept of heaven or hell - it's entirely your thing. I can only go by whatever I am told. Typically, although I'm willing to dismiss them all as fraud christians, I am told that heaven involves people being there and people not being there - the latter of which reside in hell which, ignoring specifics, involves eternal torture of some kind or another.
That every christian I've ever spoken to doesn't seem to care less should his mother or children end up there doesn't actually - in my eyes - do their religion, god or themselves any favours.
