On 4/3/12, Rt. 70 says in his 2nd response..." I do not label myself as an "atheist"..."

Followed by his signature  "Proud to be your humble atheist."
Contradiction, anyone?  lol

Give me evidence that whatever things you refer to as "Santa Clause", "Easter Bunny", and "Tooth Fairy" do not exist.

There is a crucial difference between saying "I believe that x does not exist" and saying "I do not believe that x exists". The latter statement explains a mere lack of belief while the former statement asserts that x does not exist; a position which requires as much burden of proof as the position that x does exist.

For example, I do not believe that there is gold on Mars. I do not hold the position that there is in fact no gold gold on mars, rather I lack any affirmation to the existence of gold on mars.

Sorry; God does not exist.

If you want to present a belief as rational/true to reality, in your case that God does not exist; then you must give reasons and arguments to justify your belief to those who disagree.

You say that there is no evidence for the existence of God. How do you know that there is no evidence for the existence of God at all, since you have undoubtedly never came across or analysed all potential things that might classify as such? I believe that God exists and that He has presented himself through Jesus Christ in history because of my witness to the self-authenticating Holy Spirit. If you want to convince a believer in God (who probably claims to have had/has the same experience as mine that convinces him/her of His existence) that God does not in fact exist, then you will need to give solid reasons.

Believe whatever you think to be true, but do not attempt to claim it as an objective truth or expect others who do not share your belief to accept your claims as true if you can't give solid reasons for it.

Yes, we have heard it all before. So why do we have to go over the same old ground, time and time again?

Does God exist?
Where is the evidence?

I am sure if conclusive evidence was presented for the affirmitive, there would still be those who 'refuse' to believe he exists.

And I believe that is at the core of the argument.

So we must appeal to a much higher authority, than our own, to find the evidence.
The problem lies in the fact that non-believers are really not sincere in their quest for finding the Truth.
Instead they would rather argue the point, believing there is no God.

If the Bible is the greatest authority, and by that I mean, it is a history [read HIS-STORY] of mankind from beginning to end [Genesis to Revelation] by which mankind should seek truth, then why would we want to look elsewhere?

Let me answer that question. Because most people are not sincere in looking for the Truth.
I don't think we can find the Truth in any scientific text-book.
In fact I know we cannot find the Truth in any scientific text-book.

So where do we find the Truth?

Does God exist?
The short answer to this question is yes, He does.

God exists in the person of Jesus Christ.
Yes, I know, it may take a little time for it to sink in.

The proof or evidence that God exists, is in the historical Christ.

Is He God? Well, that depends on whether you have had a revelation of the Truth.

Jesus is the Truth. The evidence is Christ, who came back from the dead. He must be God. God exists. End of argument.

Sleep well tonight, boys. You need it.

cheers

Okay, I'm not going to wade through four pages of this nonsense, but I had to laugh at this here, since it is also just through words that you are supposedly proving God's non-existence...
